Party Planning — This time it’s all about Soccer…

So after having a couple months off after planning the UP party of the year, its time to start planning the next party in the Mummy To Five household… Its for Master 5 (going on 6) Soccer Party!!

He has always loved soccer, his grandparents have been buying him soccer outfits from their favourite team Wigan ever since he was born, so its inevitable that he would like soccer… although dont expect him to sit there and watch a game… he wants to be outside playing it!!

Here are some of the ideas that I have for his soccer party this year. Being that he wants to invite all his classmates, I see this being a party I might end up hosting at the local playground! Its all fully fenced and has a huge playground/sandpit/flying fox, and it will make clean up so much easier! Looks like we will be having a LOT more people than who we invited to the UP Party!

Soccer Netting Backdrop

Cool Soccer Topper on Cake

Soccer Cupcakes

Soccer Cake Pops

Homemade Soccer Goals

Soccer Subway Art!

Awesome Soccer Shoes

An Outift for Harry!

I’m hoping that I can convince hubby to create me those soccer goals! they will be so cool to have at the park for the party!

I can see late nights printing off invitations so Master 5 can hand out to his friends by next week!!

Do you do themed parties for your kids?

  1. I sure do! I love themed parties! This year we had “Come Fly with Me” for Master O and “Sweet Little Birdie” for Little Miss A. Next year he wants a transformers party AHHHHH! That one will be hard!!!

  2. I just know your son is going to have an unbelievably fun soccer party! I can’t wait to see what elements you pull together, and the fun games they’ll play. I can imagine they’ll be entertained for hours kicking around a soccer ball.

  3. Ohh these ideas are great, I love the cupcakes! I haven’t attempted a themed party yet, my babies are 2 & 3 at their next birthday and we moved too often to actually have met enough people to create a group big to invite and justify the elaborate effort…. But I’m already feeling the buzz and can’t wait to do something like this! I cannot wait to see photo from the big day, I bet it will be fab!

  6. What a great theme! I love doing themed parties. The last one we had was a jungle themed one for Giorgia last year. The teens prefer to go out for dinner so I don’t get to do as many any more.

  8. Have you ever thought of running a party planning business Kirsty? I think you’d be great at it! I’ve decided what party to have for Master 5 – a mini golf one. And, I won’t be doing a single thing to organise it except for making a booking! :) Yes, I always take the easy way out. Oh I’ll be baking the cake of course – that’s always a must. I’ll probably make some cupcakes…maybe you can help me source some pins for mini golf cupcake ideas?! ;)

  10. Could you maybe try a spin on the old “bobbing for apples” and bob for soccer balls? Also, maybe letting the kids color on their own soccer uniforms could be a good birthday activity as well. Whatever the outcome, a sixth birthday is always fun!

  13. Hello, I’m also a Mummy of 5 and have done 3 Football (sorry, from the UK, just can’t call it soccer!) parties in years gone by. None as organised as your plans, just a kick about with friends, Dad and Uncle followed by pizza and Football birthday cakes. I DO love those football cake pops and must give them a go.
When they were 4 the boys all had Super Hero themed parties which were great fun. My Littlest will be 4 next March so we may have to plan another one!
    Nice to ‘meet you’!
